Kirk Russell

It is with great regret that the Gathering for Mary Kite has been postponed this weekend because of the inclement weather in Indianapolis.

The Gathering will be rescheduled for another date, TBD. We will post when we know the dates and time.

Also we still want to give our thoughts and prayers to Kirk Russell who is going through a medical condition.

Update on Kirk Russell. Kirk is doing better, but still not out of the woods.

We will keep giving you updates. Please keep giving his family your thoughts and prayers.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee for CART Alumni, I would like to proudly welcome you to our new website. This website has been designed with you in mind, our members, making it a ‘destination’ webpage for news and updates on events and happenings on a 365 days per year basis.

For those of you who have attended past reunions, you know the feeling that was in the air as we gathered, once again, as we had done for years on so many weekends to perform our role in producing excellent spectator racing events at so many diverse venues.

I am very proud of what we have accomplished as an organization, due to the skills of so many. As we cannot promise these reunions will turn into annual events, we do hope you will join us at future reunions.

Our History

The CART Alumni Committee was formed in 2015 with the intent of allowing the drivers, team members, officials, media, volunteers and staff of the sanctioning body originally organized and operated as CART (Championship Auto Racing Teams which then transformed into both Indycar and Champ Car, 1979-2008), to have an opportunity to gather, recognize and honor the members of the organization as listed above; and its participants, officials, and workers.
